http://www.whiteflash.com/princess/Princess-cut-diamond-1226183.htm

This is one of the reccomendations I received from whiteflash and would like to know what people think. I have a real hard time telling anything from the ideal scopes for princess cuts, I can see differences in round, but not in princess.

It's a little bigger then what I was thinking of getting, not sure how it will look on a 5.5 ring finger. But the quality to me seems to be real nice and not sure i could find one for about $1000 cheaper and still be so nice even if I sacrificed about .2 carats?

Thoughts?

what should my priorities be?

the cut from what i read seems to be just a step more important then color? so I guess cut, color, clarity and then carat. I'm not looking for a real big diamond, wanted something over 1 carat, was hoping about 1.25 and was hoping for just under $10,000. Unfortunately the setting I want is the whiteflsh champagne and that means i have to get the diamond there as well.

If you want something quite large, and are willing to go down to H color, this would be good: http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/1967/

I'm hoping to find an F/G SI1 for you, though.

walrus, found just the thing for you.

http://www.winkjones.com/xcart/customer/product.php?productid=16366&cat=274&page=1

If you want the WF Champaigne, you do not have to buy the diamond there.  They have worked with other PS vendors on settings and diamonds from different sources.

ETA: hmm, seems that you now do have to buy the diamond from WF.  it didn't used to be this way.  well, maybe something can be worked out

I think you are right in saying Julie that you do have to buy the diamond from WF if you want the champagne setting.  I ADORE that setting and I don't blame you for wanting it Walrus!

I am very sorry for those who are trying to access certain stones on the Elmyr-site. They are going through a major improvement, and in the meantime, this apparently causes some stones to be not accessible.

We are trying to limit the inconvenience, but cannot reduce it to zero.

I ask for your understanding, and I hope that they get it fixed soon.

Live long,

Well I have the alternate list, wondering if anyone can assist on what they think looks good. they gave me 1 expert selection, larger then I have thought about and also about 1500 more then I planed on spending, so not real sure. The others are smaller but seem to be nice as well.....

and

PS I found this one which is even smaller, but the idealscope looks fabulous?
