Very cute! I know someone that had wedding shoes similar to those (if not the same) that she dyed black afterwards... they look great!

I admit I cruised their website up and down versus driving the 15 minutes to the store when i was looking for shoes too!

I bought the same shoes for my wedding this June.  They are so comfortable with the 2 1/2 inch heel.  :)  My bridesmaids are all getting them in black.

NJC: are you near the new york "branch", i'm guessing? i'm right outside of the alexandria, va one (right outside of dc) -- i was too lazy to drive the FIVE MINUTES durin gmy lunch break! i like shopping online, anyway. :)

lynn: you're certainly getting a hold of the "spending all day on pricescope" thing! i love new people like you (cause i'm pretty new too!). yes, they are ivory -- you can get them in ivory OR white. i chose ivory. they ARE comfortable -- though they don't look like it. there's the toe support, the ankle support, etc.. they're great! and SO PRETTY. prettier in person than in the picture! and, if you're looking for closed toes, i almost bought some through the same website. it's www.myglassslipper.com , it's totally reputable. they have a store in NYC and one outside of DC, and sell couture shoes (think vera wang) but also have an "under $100" section, and dyeables. :)

kwalt5 -- YAY! someone else has them too! i'm glad you found them comfortable too! i only wore mine briefly, so let me know after the wedding if you were miserable. (i'm sure i'll bring osme flip flops just in case, haha!)..

Those shoes are gorgeous!  I love the detail on the ankle strap.  So beautiful.  I have heard really good things about My Glass Slipper.  Will have to check them out!

thanks everyone :-D i'm really excited to get "approval" !! :)

njc, seems like EVERYONE is from this area!!! :) my glass slipper is actually a big couture NYC shoe store.. that happens to have that tiny one in alexandria. :) look in all your bridal magazines at the shoes -- yep.

no idea for the jewelry -- i'm wondering tha tmyself. i'm getting a dress very similar to this (but mine's got a longer train and instead of the "caging" on the bodice mine is sewn on swarovski crystals):

which is why i like the shoes -- the front is so simple on my gown except for the rhinestones -- same with the shoes. :)

i have NO CLUE what to do for my jewelry or my veil. we need to orchestrate a shopping trip in this area. ugh.

thanks sosst :)

hmm, for some reason lynn it didn't work, but when i copied/pasted the properties from your "x" into my browser it worked :)

i saw your dress earlier. i am IN LOVE WITH IT. yours is poofy too so i don't feel so girly and dumb. :)

ours are similar, in a way -- simple with a part on the front that really draws attention to it. love it. love it love it love it!

can i ask what you paid? (sorry is that taboo?)

i wish i had found that dress first! :) (well, i SAY that but keep in mind i haven't seen my dress at all since i ordered it about a month and a half ago.. because it's not online ANYWHERE. i have to wait till JULY.)

Oh you are going to love them! I have black ones from Nina that I wore for Christmas Cocktail a few years ago, they were super comfy and easy to dance in! Great Choice!

the train on mine is actually longer than this one. the back has buttons all the way up. the TRAIN is really detailed in crystal -- but the front is simple, like the one shown here. and i want mine to be basically touching the floor. :)

i got the dress from katherine's bridal boutique in alexandria. they only had one in the store. it's by some private designer they work with, who doesn't have a website (or i think they said they do but that the ones katherine's carries isn't on there because they designed them strictly for that store or something).

so i dont' get to see it. which is okay with me -- because it means i can't get tired of it! Lol

Lynn - i just LOVE that dress. mine was $1399 i think. my second choice (the one i thought i was going to get until i tried this one on) was half as much, so my mom always says i "better like this one twice as much as the other one". i think i do.

the second choice, from david's bridal:

http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?stid=962&prodgroup=127 but i was going to get an ivory sash to match the dress. the train on this one is long, too. i like it.. it's TOTALLY DIFFERENT from what i got, which is interesting! i didn't have any prerequisites on what i needed as long as it was strapless and trained. :)

they'll have ivory roses, i'll have roses the color of their dress. :) my flowers are just going to be hand tied bouquets. boring, but i like it. :)

Wow....I wanted to try this dress too...when I went to David's Bridal...but I didn't..

I actually tried this one....and almost bought it...since it was the first one I tried on...but it was definately an eye-stopper....everyone turned to look at me...it was too poofy...and I was afraid
I wouldn't be able to move....

i loveeeeee the top of it and the way she looks in the pic on davids bridal's site -- but i don't like dresses with tulle like that.

when i was trying on my dress, a girl of probably 20 who was chinese was trying on dresses with her mom and her fiance's mom and her grandma and aunt. they were STUFFING HER into these like size 6 dresses that were all MASSIVELY TULLE. she was probably normally a size 12. i felt so bad for her. it was obvious she was NOT picking out her own stuff.
