Same time we were filming interview with James Allen and Central Park Survey we recorded an interview with Mark Turnowski (EngagementRingsDirect.com). Just thought some of you might like to see the person behind the screen-name...

Excellent!  I'm finding these clips very informative and educational.  I'm really happy I learned a little about cushions today.  Keep the interviews coming!

wow, very interesting. I love putting faces to the names we've become familiar with. I also enjoyed Mark's explaination of cushions. Makes me think I may still want one after all

Leonid & Irina:

Just wanted to say what an exceptional job you are doing with these interviews!  I think they provide a wonderful opportunity for us to learn even more, not just about the stones, but the knowledgable vendors behind them.

Thank you both so much for continuing to bring new ideas forward.

I just want to say that I think these interviews are really great...  Not only are they informative, but they really help those of us who don't live close to these vendors to "meet" and get to know them a little better.

Thanks!

This was great!  So nice to see the gentleman in person.

Marc has a huge benefit of background knowledge - both of the people and diamonds.

As we all know - knowing the right people is just as important as knowing the right stuff.

AND he is right there with 25% of the worlds available diamonds

Thanks for the review of cushion cut diamonds.
I havent paid much attention to them and found it interesting as well as the chance to find out more about Mark who is one of the more silent PS vendors.

Great interview.
I love hearing from these folks who have tons of history and knowledge in the business; very interesting.

His explanation of Cushion Brillants and Cushions Modified Brillants was excellent - I finally get it now.

Scintillating...

Informative and interesting! These clips are great for the newbies as well as the veterans. Putting the face with the voice is a cool feature, too.
Keep 'em coming. Leonid

Great interview!!! And that's what I really like about Mark...he is more than happy to let you test your stones but his eyes are a fab tool! And isn't that what it all boils down to after you have a great stone on paper?

I also think I've been the best AND worst customer LOL... It took me about 15 minutes? to pick my cushion e-ring and side stones were picked online and only seen by mark!!!.... BUT, when it came to a recent pendant and some other wishy washy regarding an upgrade...I think he probably wanted to hurt me :)

See ya next year Mark....

It is so great to put a face and demeanor to Mark's voice. I've been speaking with him on the phone for about two weeks now, as I'm now working with him on an engagement ring and a men's band. I had been working with another company, but switched to Mark after I got a little frustrated. I can tell you, working with Mark Turnowski has been such a pleasure. He's honest and forthcoming. He won't try to sell you a diamond that you don't want. He's super knowledgeable. I will never use another company.

:) Jonas

Been having problems seeing the interviews.

Once it finishes the first section, it crashes my internet connection .... happened twice now.

Mark is a really nice guy.... He was in Florida recently, and we spent a few hours together, and he got to see all the toys here, and went to the great japanese restaurant here together as well.

A really nice guy and a true gentleman.

Off to conclave....in Orlando.

These interview do feel like a personal introduction

Brilliant!

Opening the ERD page brought this one up.  From the small picture in the video it looked like some tantalizing new fancy round. But ... is it very glamorous portrait of a 'microscopic' single cut after all?
