Hi, I've seen postings of I and J color diamonds that people have bought but does anybody have pictures of their H color ideal diamonds they can post. I'm sure readers would like to see and H color close up for color comparisions. Thanks all!

I don't think this will be very useful. Photos are not a good way to compare diamond color unless all the diamonds are in the same picture, unmounted, up side down and photographed well. In person the difference between G, H and I stones is VERY slight. Yet if you pick 10 photos of different H stones that have been posted here, line them up side by side and they will look very different in color. Go to Pricescope's "Show Me The Ring" forum. Look at multiple pics of the same diamond taken in different environments. Frequently they look different color - the SAME diamond. Many things affect the color we see in pictures, lighting conditions, white balance of camera or lack thereof, color of walls, garments and the color of the sky itself (which is a light source BTW). I'm sorry to be such a voice of reason.

one H and two I color stones.can't tell the difference with these pictures. http://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=39421 it is always harder to find a "mind clean" stone than a eye clean stone. |
