This couple is having an eighteenth century wedding aboard a ship, with a pirate theme- some of the guests are actually wearing eye patches, and the bride and groom have dressed in period clothing.  Definitely not my style but it looks like a lot of fun!

And the wedding coordinators crack me up- this one guy is soooo dramatic and totally incensed that the "church ladies" are running the rehearsal and usurping is authority.

So just to keep this from being a pointless late-night post, what is the strangest wedding theme or detail that you've ever heard of????
Nothing you can know that isn''t known.
Nothing you can see that isn''t shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn''t where you''re meant to be.
It''s easy.
All you need is love.
Love is all you need.

Oh I totally love that show.  And I saw the one with the pirate theme.  They both had on hats and hers was white with this big feather.  Whatever floats your boat.

And my favorite one was when the bride had that Amsale dress and there was a stain on it that they promised to get out and they didn't and she had her dad yelling on the phone to them.  $10,000 for her dress?????????????  It looked pretty normal to me.

I saw the pirate one...I thought that couple was a bit mental. Did you see what happened with the other couples flowers...not good. I would have been kicking some ones bum over that. I do love that show...it makes me feel very blessed to have the man I am marrying...and sure that I never want to participate in reality TV.

I love this show too!! I don't like some of the wedding planners, like the woman with the red long frizzy hair that just got married herself, she's rude but in a very subtle way.  Or the one planner with the couple that was getting eaten by bugs...I didn't like her either.

I think it's funny when the planners get upset that the 'church ladies' are running the show.    It is technically their church.

Peach, I watched that episode last week. I couldn't believe it $10k for that dress, I thought I saw one just like at David's for $300??  I liked both those planners they were entertaining.

OH my gosh that is right.  I remember seeing it David's and I freaked because it looked like that $10k dress. It was like $300.00.

And I really don't like that red hair lady-she seems a bit snobbish and uppity to me.  Like she wants everyone to think she is rich and well to do but she is not. Sad really.

Just out of college, my friends Nick and Cory had a 'ceremony' in which I was to be one of their witnesses and also the photographer. It was around the time of halloween and the couple and all the guest dressed in an 18th Century masquerade style. Without going too out of control, the ornate banquet hall was also decorated with a regal flair.

I wore a black floor length velvet dress that was mermaid style and trumpeted out at the bottom. Then I wore a peacock feather mask of gold, green and teal. The grooms wore 18th Century style knickers mixed with Victorian mixed with gothic garb. Because everyone respected their wishes and dress appropriately, the atmosphere of the celebration was one of my most memorable 'weddings.' Their photographs also turned out beautiful because of the theme.

Wow!!  I'm not a huge fan of halloween because clowns, masks, etc freak me out. But that sounds like such a cool wedding.

I love this show, too. That dress with the pollen stains? Did you guys notice it had also gotten tire marks on it? That's what the bride said. Jeez, for 10,000 dollars, scotchgard the thing! The red haired planner, is crazy. And what's up with the eyebrow? Always crooked, with her hair over the side of her face. I think she thinks she's Jessica Rabbit. I looove Donnie Brown, he is great! I didn't like the wedding planner who did the cheaper Chocolate company wedding. She didn't DO anything. Every time something would go wrong she'd just accept it. The whole point about a wedding planner is they tackle the problems for you! I mean, no chicken? At all? She just accepted that. Not cool! I would have died. And she was complaining about the bride being controlling. Even my fiance was like, "If she has a problem with the bride being controlling, maybe she should do some of the work, and not just stand there like an idiot!"

I totally agree, and the thing was, the tire marks and the pollen were totally the brides fault because she had worn it to have bridal pictures taken. They totally played it off like they weren't there....WHATEVER!

Did everyone watch yesterdays episode?   The one girl was beautiful, both the girls had really nice dresses. What was up with the groom whose parents backed out?  Why did they do that?

They said it was becuase their names were not on the invites...that would be annoying but to just not come to the wedding.

WHAT?!?!?!??!  That's why?  OMG, if my parents were going to be that petty I'd be more than happy not to have to sell out money for their dinner!

I try to watch that show every week. The pirate theme was strange. And what about the girl with the $10k dress? It was pretty, but didn't look like it was worth $10k to me. I know it was Amsale. I'm guessing Blue Label. I dunno. Strange.

I'm addicted, add me to the list.  One day last fall, they were having a marathon sunday of episodes and I planned my weekend around that.  My fiance thinks I'm mental but I love it.  He tells me that I'm getting stressed out b/c I watch that show too much.  Ha!

Tuesday night they had a couple episodes on, didn't they?

All my favorite planners are the gay men.  I adore them!

Oh and that red haired lady, she's based in LA.  One of my girlfriends talked to her when she needed a day-of coordinator.  Her rates were insane, I think she said like $2K+ for the day.  Did you see the latest episode where it seemed like her staff were totally rebelling against her?  Total drama, it was classic!

hehe okay the weirdest thing is I never heard of this show til Tuesday night, I'm in my suite for the honeymoon... and I start watching this show, and man it's so addicting and the whole time I'm all stressing myself out watching these folks - I mean, geez what drama!!

My dear hubby said, wow, makes me feel happy OUR wedding went off so smoothly... what a mess!! (w/the one $10k dress - so ridiculous! and the one where the parents backed out... ) some of the brides are kind of annoying though, ugh!
