Hey there, I am so frustrated because the table of my ring gets smudged often. I can't fathom bringing a toothbrush to work to clean it, (I am already high maintenance enough, LOL!) I also have not had great success with microfiber cloths. I came across alcohol wipes at the store recently, the little ones that Doctors use to wipe your arm before they draw blood, etc. What is your opinion of me wiping this over a diamond set in platinum a few times a day? Can I do it any harm? It is so convenient, but I don't want to hurt my rock!

It depends on the concentration of alcohol in the wipe. Traditionally alcohol wipes are made of 70% isopropyl alcol/30% sterile water (aka Rubbing alocohol). This will leave a slight "haze" on the ring and stone. If the wipes are 90% Isopropyl alcohol/10% water there will be less of a haze. Typically wipes are the 70/30 ratio. BUT... You can easily wipe off the haze with a lint free cloth (don't use a tissue!) and you should be good to go leaving a nice shine.
