I can't decide if we should have them shave it down so it is thinner or not. The band is 2.7mm right now. Asschers have such clean, elegant lines and it's always so lovely to see them in a clean, elegant setting! 2.7mm is not thick at all....try it and decide then if you'd rather shave it down. It is kind of deceiving in the pictures, but it is pretty thin -- I personally would not want to go any thinner. The band has a soft knife edge to it (I guess that is the best way I can describe it) so it has more of a rounded look to it. I would not have it shaved down until you see it in person. I too thought that 2.7mm would be too thick, but I honestly thought the width was just right.

When I had asked WF about setting my square emerald in that very setting, they told me that 2.7 mm was the thinnest they could go due to the structural need to have a stable, secure setting. Trust me, when you see it in person, it'll be perfect. Those WF pics are so large and magnified that everything looks bigger and bulkier, but on the hand, they always look so dainty and delicate. You will love it! Let us know when you get it!
