Very nice!! Congratulations, cant wait for the handshots!

BTW: 2.7mm is still very thin, wait until you get it and can wear it before you shave it down anymore! (JMHO)

Gorgeous! Asschers have such clean, elegant lines and it's always so lovely to see them in a clean, elegant setting!

2.7mm is not thick at all....try it and decide then if you'd rather shave it down. Congrats and hand pics as soon as you get the ring!!!

it may be 2.7 mm in order for a w-band to sit flush. maybe check with them on this before deciding.

great ring, though. congrats!!

Good point jcrow.  I didn't even think of that.  I think we will wait to wear it for awhile before we make any decisions on it.  I just can't wait to get it on my hand!!  And thank you to everyone for their comments and help with everything.  PS is truly a community of amazingly helpful people!!

beautiful!!! nice and simple setting.

it is always harder to find a "mind clean" stone than a eye clean stone.

I had this exact setting with a RB instead of an asscher in it.  It is kind of deceiving in the pictures, but it is pretty thin -- I personally would not want to go any thinner.  The band has a soft knife edge to it (I guess that is the best way I can describe it) so it has more of a rounded look to it.  I would not have it shaved down until you see it in person.  I too thought that 2.7mm would be too thick, but I honestly thought the width was just right.

Indecisive, your ring is gorgeous! When I had asked WF about setting my square emerald in that very setting, they told me that 2.7 mm was the thinnest they could go due to the structural need to have a stable, secure setting. Trust me, when you see it in person, it'll be perfect. Those WF pics are so large and magnified that everything looks bigger and bulkier, but on the hand, they always look so dainty and delicate. You will love it! Let us know when you get it!

indecisive- your asscher looks fantastic!!  I bet the setting won't look too terribly thick at all in person...

I hope you have that baby on your hand soon

Your ring looks just beautiful as is.  2.7mm really isn't very thick at all.

ooohhh it is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!

I agree, I would wait until you have it on to decide, and I would try it with wedding bands, too, before I changed it.

No hand pics yet... but here is the picture the appraiser sent... she doesn't see many asschers so she was excited to have it there and it matched perfectly with the certs... now I just need it on my hand!
