We went to a "wholesaler" in Downtown Los Angeles today and this is what he gave me. 1.31 Round Cut H Si 1 EGL Cert Ideal Cut $5,200 1. Is that a good price? 2. On a GIA cert, how much discount off the Rapaport Price List is considered good. From what I've seen, most retailers give 20% off. Is that normal? Should I be asking for 30%. Let me know! Thanks everyone! 3. In terms of price, how much more does a GIA cert cost. For example, the same exact specifications on a Diamond, GIA vs EGL. How much more will a GIA diamond cost? Let me know! Thanks everyone! -Pajamas! DeBeers Sucks! DeBeers Sucks! |

Pajamas,---------------- EGL Ideal Cut can be somthing broad. Can you post measurements, table, depth, crown, pavilion, girdle, culet, symmetry and polish? What about fluorescence? I checked internet prices (no cut restrictions) - from $4,500 to $6,000 for EGL graded stones and from $5,000 to $7,000 for GIA. Your price could be good if the stone is not misgraded. ---------------- It depends on cut quality. Average cut stones with GIA report could be bought for 20%-30% off. Ideal cut diamonds - 0%-10% off ---------------- According to my stats, EGL graded stones cost 10% less. Pricescope |
