If you have a rough stone, 2 carat, how much will the carat be when the stone is cut? The Swede!

Yeilds for rounds from sawn stones are 40-45% for fin cut and >50% for yuck. eg 1= 0.65ct and 1= .25ct Princess and emerald cut are higher yeilds which is why they sell for less p/c For makables (not sawn) yeilds are more like 30-40% at best, so maybe 1=.70ct. Garry Holloway FGAA DipDT |
