I'm thinking about using my birthday money to buy some white gold or platinum hoops.  Can anyone recommend a pair or encourage me in one direction or the other (i.e. white gold or platinum)?  I have sensitive ears and I've heard that platinum can be more hypoallergenic, but I'm not sure if that's true.  Anyway, the pairs I'm looking at are below, but I would definitely be interested in look at other brands:

As you can see I'm looking for small hoops.  Thanks!

Oh, I should add that I'm more partial to this design because I don't like seeing the fasteners in the front of the earrings: http://store.yahoo.com/simplywhispers/65011.html.  I used to have this particular pair of earring but the metal is very dark (not shiny at all) which I don't love.  Thanks!

are you near a Ross, Marshalls, or TJMaxx?  I got an identical pair in white gold at Ross for $10.

I actually have those earrings in white gold, but one size bigger.  And I have very sensitive ears.

I really really like them.  And like I said, although I have sensitive ears,I am much less sensitive with hoops...I don't know if it is because they are actually touching less of the ear than a stud, but I haven't had any problems with them.

I was actually planning on getting the larger 18k white gold pair from them sometime next week.  I also wanted to get the small ones you posted in rose gold for my daughter.
I posted a thread on the shopping forum and only one person replied, Mara, who purchased a pair of platinum hoops from them.  She seemed happy with them and the price seemed reasonable.
They do have a 30 day return policy, so if you get them and decide you don't want it, you can always return!  That's what I plan to do if I am not satisfied.
