I have just purchased the following stone:


1.89 ct, G, SI1
AGS Ideal 0 (Ideal Polish, Symmetry and Proportions)
7.96*8.03*4.9
HCA 1.2

My question: I am soon returning to Melbourne from New York. Is a US AGS cert and jewler valuation OK for the purpose of obtaining insurance coverage in Australia? Is a simple conversion of the US$ valuation to A$ acceptable or is the market pricing sufficiently different that I would need a local valuation? Would I be best off just bringing the stone to you to have a look at and appraise?

 		For insurance you will need a JAA registered valuers appraisal.

We will charge you A$200 for this and confirm the other data as well.
