I MATCHED IN HOUSTON!!!!

gingerBcookie Ideal Rock Total Posts: 1,858 Last Post: 3/27/2009 Member Since: 8/13/2004	OMG!! I am soooo freaking HAPPY AND EXCITED ------ WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO! The posted the preliminary results today, meaning you only get to know if you matched or not, but since i only put down houston choices, since i matched i know i'm in houston!!!!!! They were supposed to post the results by noon, so my friend and i have been checking the computer every hour on the hour, and at noon, we could n't get on because every freakin medical studen across the country was trying to log on at the same time...talk about anxiety ridden omputer experiences!! We finally got on 10 minute later. She found out first that she matched and i said "Congratualtions now hand over the computer!" I didn't know my id so i had to search for it, then i couldn't log on for another cuz the server was soo busy so i was sitting there for another five minute with my heart pounding in my ears staring at the little hourglass....seriously...one of the longest five minute of my LIFE!!! THIS MEANS I GET TO KEEP MY PRETTY NEW HOUSE!!! WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!

gingerBcookie Ideal Rock Total Posts: 1,858 Last Post: 3/27/2009 Member Since: 8/13/2004	thanks everyone! i am soooo excited! i started calling everybody and sent out a mass text to anyone who may remotely care. bad thing is i'm supposed to be studying for part 2 of my licesning exam and i'm too excited to focus (hences the pscoping) ::wipes forehead:: its SUCH a relief to know that no matter what we can relax and settle in cuz we won't have to make the decison of moving or living apart for the next 3 years! mara -- LOVE the EC, it is sooooo perfect, FI loves it too. Its pretty naked right now cuz i haven't had tme to finish unpacking my house and fixing it up yet, which is why i haven't posted pics. will start a thread in shopping as soon as i do! i told FI he can thank the PS enabler for our fabulous EC find!

Back then (he's a chairman now, so it was quite a few years ago), it was the blow out party (the faculty tended bar and the students, including my very conservative brother, were literally dancing on the tables) on the night the matches were announced. It's an acronym. The last four letters stand for "I Got My Internship" (back when doctors routinely did internships before residency). I'll let your figure out what the other letters stand for yourself. GK
