So ... with all our debating the other day about the merits of Moana vs. Sarah .... turns out the BACHELOR might have (   ) failed AGAIN.Here are my completely sketchy, gossip-only sources for your perusal! Friend of a babysitter of Travis's sister's kids ((http://bricksandstones.blogspot.com/2006/02/bachelor-update-you-be-judge.html)) SUMMARY: Travis & Sarah did date but have broken up and decided to be friends. Travis' experience on the show made him realize his previous girlfriend of 5 years was "the one" for him afterall. --AND-- in the closing "choice" cermony Travis told Sarah he loved her ... but called ABC and asked them to take that part out because it wouldn't be fair to her now. Email purportedly from Travis's brother-in-law ((http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=20848782&postID=114114518423125825)) SUPPOSED QUOTES: "Before anyone gets all excited...yes, Travis did pick Sarah, BUT NO they aren't still together. Kind of a bummer after the episode last night. Apparently they talk almost everyday still, but it's platonic. She might even be dating one of the Tennessee Titan football players now. Crazy. She has gone to like every single charity and socialite function in Tennessee since the show has been over. That is not Travis' kind of deal at all. she wants to soak up the lime light of the show's aftermath and Trav just wants it to be over. He isn't going on any of the talk shows b/c they aren't together. ABC doesn't want him to because of that. Get this, Andrea said that Travis said...if he were to do it all over again....two girls he would have held on to would be Susan and get this, Jehan. Sarah and Travis are going hiking together today. ohhhhhhh good scoop! Wrong. In fact, it seems there's a gag order on Vanderbilt ER Dr. Travis Stork and Nashville kindergarten teacher Sarah Stone — who ended up together in Monday's finale — and their friends and family, even ones who have been talking to media for weeks. Suzy Swift, a friend of Stone and one of her spokeswomen, said yesterday, "I've been asked to not say anymore on behalf of ABC." Not so, ABC says. Publicity and management for those on The Bachelor has been turned over to show producers Telepictures Productions and Next Entertainment. A spokeswoman suggested the couple issued the gag order. "Sarah and Travis have requested to spend some time together alone this week. We are respecting their request," Laura Mandel said. In any event, no one yesterday was discussing Stone and Stork's current status. Channel 2 reported in its 4:30 p.m. newscast that the couple has split but other media suggested otherwise. One thing seems certain: Stork hasn't planned any extended leave from the ER to whisk his woman away. He was at work yesterday, and hospital spokesman John Howser said, "It's business as usual" for Stork until he completes his residency in July. Nashvillians ate the finale up: The show was first in its time slot, with more than 20% of Midstate-area TVs tuned in for the last 15 minutes. • |

soooo cheesy!! you're not allowed to see someone so you grow apart?not if you really like them and find them interesting!! how else do long distance relationships work? ever heard of the phone? ever heard of sneaking off together? if you really want to be with someone you will. i SO knew it wasn't the real thing! he shoulda chosen moana.  welp at least she got the ring. wonder how long before it'll end up on ebay! ________________________________ |

Just saw that FireGoddess! It does seem cruel of ABC to keep them from seeing each other for FOUR MONTHS .. maybe that IS part of why these relationships seem 75-80% doomed. I saw another gossip item where they're searching for a "hot NYC architect" to be the next Bachelor. That way if you win but break-up, at least you could get a house design or two out of it!

Isn't it so....ridiculous? You grow apart cuz you can't see each other for 4 months? I had the same response as Mara. Please - if you wanted to keep the flames burning, you could try. I admit I was thrown for a loop when we heard so quickly that they had broken up....I thought they were at least a little better matched up than the past few seasons...but whatever! So we're still tied at only 1 each? 1 bachelorette (Trista) has walked down the aisle and 1 bachelor is walking down the aisle shortly (that older professional fisherman guy).

Couldn't they have faked it for a little while???? Heck, I'd have maxed out my 15 minutes I honestly thought Travis was kinda boring. I didn't really see any sparks flying with any of the ladies. It was like pulling teeth to get the man to talk . I do feel bad for Sarah and Moana because it does seem they hearts here laid out there and then dismissed. I hope the next bachelor/bachelorette has a lot mor personality and is more fun to watch. I think Charlie and Sara and living together, just not rushing into Marriage. I think Byron and Mary make a great couple and hope they make it to the alter

I forgot about Charlie. He was my least favorite bachelor, but then again I never saw the first season, or the one with Bob Guiney (I think that's his name). I did like Sarah, but remember thinking that they would never make it. At least they're still dating. I am definitely rooting for Byron and Mary! Their wedding is in a few months, I believe.

I loved Byron and Mary, I really was happy for them as they seemed a great match and they discussed the REAL future not just having fun. Other than them, the only other bachelors I really liked was Andrew Firestone (local boy!!) who was just such a cutie. Most of the other bachelors weren't that great looking I thought, and some of them were just downright irritating! I actually found Bob kinda dorky and I'm not into curly hair, hehee...and also Charlie was such a dork too with his horsey laugh, his brother is way better looking. And who was the one from Missouri? I totally wasn't feeling that one, and the Jessie Palmer football player one? Don't even recall it. I'm so disillusioned! We need another one to really LAST or else I think people will just keep getting sicker and sicker of the show unfortunately. (But I will still watch it, tee hee). ________________________________ |

I've always wondered if some men & women like the show because ya get to see a bunch of girls who are all probably the best looking chicks in their hometowns get DUMPED. Gorgeous women hold so much "power" normally ... seeing them leveled & sometimes rejected/humiliated ... is, what's that German word, schaedenfreud? (Taking private pleasure in other people's pain?) By the end we're all rooting for someone or other ... but in the beginning, when they're all random chicks ... I dunno .. maybe I'm cranky 'cause I have a cold!!

LOVED Andrew Firestone....thought he and Jen Schecht woulda lasted longer than they did...and then HATED Jen Schecht as the Bachelorette!  Completely didn't like her after that (and I admit, I didn't care who she picked cuz none of them were really great). I really like Byron and Mary though ironically, she wasn't one of the original 25 ladies! They brought her and another woman in from a previous season of the Bachelor and he ended up keeping her around. They are really sweet together. I agree Charlie was a dope and his brother is way better looking, way more suave, if you can call it that. I'm shocked he's still together with Sarah. The football player guy.....didn't like him at all...I believe they broke up shortly, but I think not as quickly as this one! Travis was not great IMO, but I did think he and Sarah were suited for one another...guess I was wrong! It would be nice to see another couple 'make it'....I think I was roped in because Trista and Ryan got married...but nobody (yet) since!!

Wasn't the guy from Missouri named Aaron Burge or something like that? He had to choose between Helena and Brooke and picked Helena if I remember correctly. I thought he was good looking but he came across as quite a jerk in interviews I saw with him after the show was over. I think he is now dating some chic that was in Playboy. I liked Andrew Firestone too, but I can't stand Jen Scheft! She is in the paper all the time here b/c she lives in Chicago. I didn't watch the Bachelorette with her either b/c I found her so whiny and annoying. The Firestone Bachelor was the last one I watched. I personally think that show has lost it's excitement.
