In the future, I want my princess solitaire (will be my "new" one sine the loss ) into a vatche style three stone truffle. They have "Regular" prongs.. is this safe? Is there anyway to make it with "v-tip" prongs? I would have to have it custom made since I already own the side stones.

I would not want to have any pointed diamond without chevrons on the tips. Way too risky. I'm sure it can be made this way.

I too am looking at princess cuts, and all the settings I have chosen have had regular prongs, and I asked the jeweler if they could be made into v tips, becuz thats the look I prefer, and she said that "yes, they would actually need to be vtips, as a precautionary measure." so, you can get any setting made that way!
