Well, you asked for *all* comments - have you thought about going down in clarity color or both?- i.e. G VS1-2?

Hi brianw, It seems as if you have done your homework on choosing these diamonds. The GIA specs look good, but can you also provide any additional info like, crown angle, pavilion angle, and so forth for the other two diamonds, so we can give you the HCA stats. Are these diamonds branded or non-branded and also are these H&A cuts? They look like a fine selection, but you might even consider going to a VS quality, comprimising little on clarity and getting some additional savings in dollars. Buy Informed! Kirk

A friend own's the diamonds and was in the process of having them set for his wife. Wife was caught and the diamonds are for sale. He has offered all three for one price with the 14K mount for 13,000 cash, if this is a fair price I will close the deal today. Thanks and have a great day. |

The diamonds were bought from Blue Nile 16 months ago. Round Ideal is listed on the paperwork and only one had the crown and pavil # included. |

Hi Brian, Actually GIA does nod grade "Ideal" So if this information was given to you I would not know what to say about it. The important part of the report is the cut proportions and polish in this grade of diamond. If GIA stated Excellent/ Excellent theese stones are worth premium and you don't need to spent anymore time to search for better! The grade being E/VVS2 is also very impressive . If you are buiyng theese stones to set in one three stone ring and ask me or anybody to find you a better matching set I would say,...I will need some extra time to do this,... So $12000 sounds knd of high but it's actually not so bad,...So if you are comfortable with the seller, I would say... Go for it! George GLE Gem Inports

Hi Brian, If the crown and pavilion angles are not in any documentation, I think you could get that info from an independent appraiser. Kirk

I really apprecite the feedback from everyone here today and think I'll buy them. By the way, they are not H&A and are listed as round brilliant, Ideal was the paperwork associated with Blue Nile when he bought them. The bad thing is I don't have a jewlery store within 500 miles so the crown and pavil # will be another day. Thanks and have a great day everyone!!! |
