Hi! Its been a while since I've posted but am always a fan of this forum! It is finally time to start planning the wedding (engaged 5/20/05-see http://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=29046&forumID=8&catID=&search=1&searchstring=) and with it, a ring redesign!!! I have searched the forum for ideas and am having a hard time finding examples of the set I am invisioning...The closest I could come was Tacori Crescent Silhouette Collection but that is a bit over my budget! Idealy, I want trapezoids side stones and matching princess cut, 3 sided (or windows? Not sure of the terminology)? eternity bands for both the ER and WB in platinum. I have a 1.2 Radiant (D, VS1, 1A cut) on a D.Vatche Xprong in Platinum (thanks Whiteflash!) and want to have a set made for the Big Day (6/2/07). My budget is $5,000 for the reset. My questions are this: 1) Can anyone find good examples of what I am describing besides tacori? 2) Am I being unrealistic with what I want and my budget? If so, any other ideas are welcome (3/4 around the bands instead of eternity, etc.?). Help! |

Thanks! It is close, but not quite. I don't like the engraved/filligree look and I don't like the difference in height between the center and side stones...but I appreciate your response!

Maybe if you post a picture of the Tacori you like more people will respond.

Isn't there a height difference between the center stone and sidestones in the Tacori??? __________________________ |

Date: 1/29/2006 11:02:11 PM Just a suggestion...have you thought about drawing out what you want if you can't find a picture? I know that for me drawing out the design--both a straight on illustration and a side view--is helpful to whomever you are considering to make your ring. This will also allow potential jewelers a better reference when giving you what you want and staying in your budget. Author:Diachi Hi! Date: 1/30/2006 5:40:07 PM Yes, there is-and I would want to lower the head of the ring if we went with Tacori because I have heard it tends to sit higher. But it is a close in look to what I like! Thanks for posting it mrssalvo!

Well both Tacori and Kirk Kara will/do customize their rings since they are made to order so you could get a lower head, no engraving, that sort of thing. I posted the Kirk Kara because they do tend to be less expensive as the Tacori's.

Why not WF again? Or another of the shops making custom jewelry around here... It can't hurt to ask, IMO. Ana "The greatest experts are only as good as the sum total of what they have seen." [Souren Melikian] |
