I have a question to pose to the boards...how many of us are heading into "the second time around?" (or maybe even third or fourth) Coz sometimes we have to do it more than once to get it right. My guy and I have both been married once before...so this would/will be our second time around. Yet for me it feels like the first. It's as if I had a trial run (all be it that trial run was for 11 years) and now I have found the perfect fit. I would love to hear your stories...

This is also a second go-round for both my fiancee and I. We've been together five years, however, I was married 16 1/2 the first time.. and too long at that. *sigh* My fiancee was married just over 7 years, also too long. I found the person I should have been with from the beginning. We fit together just right. So, we have to (hypothetically of course) thank our ex's for being who they were.. without that, we might not have ever found eachother. Divorce wasn't something I or my fiancee ever wanted from either of our former partners.. however.. I'm glad it did. It is not, nor will it ever be an option again. Gosh I just love my man. We compliment each other, we are each other's biggest fans. I can't imagine not having him in my life as intricately as he is.. I look forward to growing old together.. ![]() ![]()

Hi Michelle ![]() "Mine!!!" forwared the thread on "halo settings" and I saw your post there. I remembered you were the one person to reply to my post. I to am thinking about a halo setting for our stone...Since my center stone is going to be a sapphire I think diamond pave would highlight the stone and make the ring very pretty and sparkly. It is so much fun to create a custom ring...all the more special. LOL...and this time around I can have the "bling" if I want...well within reason anyways. There was a great article in the New York times on engagement rings for the second marriage a few weeks ago. The author said that some go for the "bling" because they did not have the first time and others go subtle. Which did you get? ![]() All the best to you on your second time around. My guy too says that even though his divorce was hard, he is very thankful. It created the opportunity to meet me. We too are a great fit. Have a great day! +x* positivity, patience & quiet persistence |
