After browsing the net none stop literally I can across what I believe is my dream ring. After looking at the different types of settings i figure out that I like, no wait i'll refrase that love antique settings. So i found SunJewelry. Not sure how their business is. Does anyone here know anything about them good or bad? Anyways here is a link to the ring as i couldn't post a picture. (couldn't figure it out. was too excited, I'm sure most of you can relate) I have fowarded the ring to my BF now all I have to do is wait and see. Ohhhh yeah and concentrate on the hardest part at least for me.... The ROCK...

I'm a little worried that there is no certificate from GIA or EGL included and instead it comes with a "certificate of authenticity". Especially when the price is supposedly 1/3 the suggested retail price (which I believe to be exaggerated). I'm no expert though. You might want to post this in the Rocky Talky forum to get some input from the jewelers and gemologists there.

It's very pretty though!

I took the liberty of posting the picture, I hope that is ok. I agree that you might get better feedback in RockyTalky about the quality and value... but I have to say that it is a really beautiful ring and if what they say is actually true, would be a great choice!!

If you read the whole page it says.. you can take thier "stock" non-certified diamonds OR

"Also you can change the diamond carat weight and diamond quality to fit your specific budget. Or, you can go to our loose GIA report, EGL certified diamond section to pick that special diamond."

Obviously.. thats gonna hike up the price a bit though!

aphisiglovessae:  I also notice that it said that it only included a certificate of autenticity but i was not thinking about buying the diamond from them. Just the setting, or maybe i can even get WF to do something like it. Again i dont know this vendor and unless i heard positive things about it i was not going to ask my bf by from them. But thanks for your concern.

kalispera: Thanks for posting the pics. I tried to do it but i couldn't do it. I might need help to post it in the rocky talky.

MelissaSue:  The diamond is up to my bf, all i can do is hint on what i want. he wants it to be a surprise when it happens and he wasnt that please to let me pick out the setting but since he knows how picky i am he decided to let me choose it, but he made me promise that after that i wouldnt be involved.

In that case, go for it! I hear Whiteflash does wonderful work too. I'm just feeling a little uneasy about that vendor.

Hi Everyone.

I was just passing through and caught this thread. I’d like to put my 2 cents in… I did a ton of research and hung around this forum for a while until I moved from lurker to poster. Any case, the OP asked if anyone had any experiences with them so here is a thread about my experience with Sun Jewelry

Let me tell you that I had the pleasure of dealing with them personally. Abit who is the manager in the Los Angeles store was great in helping me and answering my questions. My original thread kind of asked about them too since I was not familiar with them. There were no negative things said about them, but a lot of people kept pushing me away from them. Don’t know why, but I am glad I didn’t. If you have any specific questions about them, let me know.

I read through your thread and I think that they gave you a lot of good advice. It seems that most of their concerns were the same as mine: the price (as well as the diamond dimensions) and the certificate issue. I'm glad you had a good experience with this vendor, but I would still be very cautious.
