When we were going together, and after we were married, my husband bought me jewelry that I did not like or was not great quality. Some of the things were just awful. I wore them for sentimental reasons and just pretended that I liked them. I never let on that it was not what I wanted or that the quality was poor. I just sort of mentioned things I liked but I always pretended to love the things once he bought them. Then I started to have the opposite problem. After many years of marriage, we had much more money and he started buying me gifts that were terribly over priced at very upscale stores. Then I started to hint that I would prefer to pick out things together or find places, such as Pricescope vendors, where we could get the same thing for less. He now usually gives me a card and a sort of hand written gift certificate to buy something special. If you have not let your boyfriend know that the pendant is not what you wanted, I would keep it a secret and just wear it. You do not want to discourage him from buying you gifts. It is a new relationship and there is plenty of time to "educate" him about your tastes in jewelry in a subtle way without letting him know that his gift was not good quality. He may have put a lot of thought into it and may feel hurt if you let him know it did not meet your expectations as to quality even though you like the style.

for $300 you could get a lot better bling for you buck with colored stones. Whats your favorite color? ........... Karl has joined the diamond trade and is now posting as Karl_K |
