I'm getting married on May 27, 2007.  My favorite season is fall (second being Spring) so I was going to have a fall themed wedding even though it's Spring.  The color that I was thinking was cinnamon, it looks great on my MOH and looks cool with the tuxes.  But now I'm rethinking it....I think I want a bright spring type wedding...Azela (sp) color or bright pinks.

What were you spring wedding colors?

For my flowers, I was going to have sunflowers (my favorite flower) but they don't always last too long and I'm afraid they will get droopy too quickly.  So I'm going with my 2nd favorite flower, tulips.  I was thinking a vibrant pink with some green accent colors for the bouquets.  How does that sound?

I know I know...I have plenty time to think this through.... 1 year 4 months and about 7 days.

I can't decide between blue or pink as the main color, but I know that my accent colors will be ivory and green. The pink tulips sound great! If you like sunflowers, you might want to think about adding some yellow as well. It's cheerful and very spring-y.

Our wedding is going to be the first few days of Spring 2007, and our colors are Sage Green, a Dusky Rose pink, and silver to tie them all together. Is that too cool? My flowers are going to be tulips, freesia, maybe peonies, and sweet pea. Maybe some roses in there, I dunno. I've always loved calla lillies, but I only like them in darker colors. I also like gerber daisies, and you can get them in any color!

I am doing baby pink and black... although originally it started off as baby blue and navy blue.. and I think pink and sage green or pink and brown looks great too... but then, I love pink, so I'm biased.

ETA: there is a NorCal knottie w/a hot pink and green bio that I think is gorgeous!! http://www.rosa-gonzalez.com/bio/

I absolutely LOVE tulips and hottish pink ones with lime green in the bouquet would be very crisp and fresh....you could do shades of rose or similar for the BM dresses and accents on the cake as well. I had soft mauvish pink orchids in my bouquet with limes and similar and then tied it all together with a really hot pinky/fuschia double sided satin ribbon which was AWESOME and brought out the softer colors more.

It's so hard to pick wedding colors.  When I had my wedding last year I wanted to be able to have multiple weddings just so I could change the colors.

That being said, sunflowers might be challenging to find in spring.  Tulips sound beautiful.

Here's a bright flower option.  I could see it done with tulips & peonies easily.

Or these? I know they're not tulips, but still pretty.

{{{{It's so hard to pick wedding colors.  When I had my wedding last year I wanted to be able to have multiple weddings just so I could change the colors. }}}}

Islanddreams, I had to laugh when I read that; I wish that too!   There are so many beautiful options.  And a different wedding for each season of the year!  I think that with rings too; wish you could have one for each day of the week as some have said.

Caribou, I got married in April, and we used a combination of spring colors.  As others said, tulips sound beautiful, and a vibrant pink with some green accent colors for the bouquets sounds gorgeous.  I love that combo.

p.s. I agree with sunkist, that 3rd bouquet that looks like pink tulips is gorgeous.

p.s. to Islanddreams, that gorgeous picture of your bouquet - I think on the post your favorite wedding pic thread - is so beautiful!

p.s. to Amberwaves, you changed your avatar!  I used to love the adorable little dog - was it a daschund? that you used to have!!

You ladies are so great!!!    You all gave me such awesome ideas!!!!!  Thanks so much!

All the pics of flowers were beautiful, especailly the tulips.

See I love sunflowers, always will (kind of have to it's tattoed on my body )  but the stem closest to the head of the flower always seems to be the part that gets the weakest.   I was thinking about wedding stuff one day (what am I talking about, one day...more like everyday) and was imgining me walking down the aisle as the the head of my sunflower gets all doopy.    So then I thought of tulips and it's such a springy flower.

Thanks again all the ideas!!

Hey guys, yes, that 3rd bouquet was peach and pink tulips, a mixture of parrot and regular tulips, I believe. I found it at modernbride.com...

Also, that's still my puppy in my new avatar! He thinks he's people. He's trying to get to the flash on the camera, and failing!

We are doing Pink, Coral and red. This is my bouquet, but we are going to add a few gerber daisys to it. THE Bm will have red, coral and pink gerber daisys in them.

You should take a look at gerber daisys if you like that sunflower look. The are inexspensive and you have a lot of variety too.

I am getting married next May 19th.  My wedding colors are going to be purple and lime.  Whether those are "springy" or not, I don't much care...I love them so much!!!

Plus, I just got some flowers to make my bouquet with...purple and lime ones...and it's going to look SO awesome next to a white dress.  WOO!!!!

JCrow-

That is exactly the color scheme I want if our wedding is next spring...I just love shades of off white and champagne, and my fave flowers are peonies!  And hydrangea too...and tulips, roses, and lilies...
