Hello again. The data of the octillion diamond for Zales are as follows: 1.25 ct, color G, SI1, platinum setting for around $7,000. It retails for $9,999. Please let me know if this is a good deal or would I be better off purchasing a round solitare with a G color and VS2 quality. Any input would be greatly appreciated

OOops I made a mistake I meant a 1.25 round in a E-G color VS2. |

The price does not sound totally out of whcak for a 1.25ct round, G VS2. A lot depends on how well the diamond is cut and how accurately graded it is. Do a Pricescope search on such a stone and I bet you'll find Ideal Cut rounds well within or below the $7K price. David S. Atlas |
