Finally got the ring last night after 4 weeks (normal) to make it (Thibaudeau). It looks great!! 1.18 Emerald cut VS2I and a simple tension look in platinum. I'm popping the question on Sunday during a studio photo shoot. I'm hoping to get the emotions and reactions on film! Thanks to all who were helpful in the process. I really liked Thibaudeau's service, I was able to communicate with Josee by email regularly. The diamond was bought as part of a separate ring for $3600, took the rock out and added it to the Thibaudeau ring, $2600. It's appraised value is $9964.00. Took the small round diamonds out of the original ring and am putting them in 3 prong platinum earrings for XMas. I think that'll be a surprise too. It's killing me knowing the ring is in the house, if only she knew. Drew
