I wanted to to get some opinions on the diamond I just bought. Emerald Cut GIA certified 1.06 carat I color IF clarity Depth 67% Table 66% Symmetry: Good Polich: Very Good Girdle: Thin to Medium Cutlet: Very Small Florescence: none Length/Width ratio: 1.54 Measurements: 7.42 X 4.82 X 3.23 Cost: $4100.00 I am mainly concerned about the I color. Will the stone look tinted to the naked eye? Most jewelers put I color into the near colorless category but I have found some that say the color is pretty noticeable. Any thoughts? I hope I made a good choice. I am going to pop the question around Christmas and have been looking for several weeks. Thanks. |

It will not look like a D color if held in close proximity to that color stone. However, it will surely look pretty colorless in most situations. I think you could have easily bought a diamond that was VVS and G/H color and been a bit better off, but maybe you wanted an IF stone...That's up to you.
