I've been a lurker for almost a year now, and have used the great education on this site to purchase my fiance's tiffany-style knife-edge e-ring. Now we are shopping for a wedding band, and my fiance is quite insistent on a low-set 7 stone 1/2 eternity shared prong also at Tiffany's. The similar Whiteflash is unfortunately raised in its setting, but I stumbled across this picture in a post long long ago regarding a Whiteflash ring that is perfect for what I'm looking for. The image is labeled "7 A Cut Above Diamond Band by Le" Problem is, its nowhere to be seen on the site! While I wait for a response from Whiteflash, can anyone suggest other places where I might be able to find a similar ring (aside from T&Co)? Thanks!

OK, good link! Its a little different than the pic above, I'll have to see what the fiance thinks. About the picture above... are the Le design things on Whiteflash Le Vian? If so, would I be able to find the setting anywhere else? I went to www.levian.com and couldnt find anything on wedding bands. This is the Tiffany one she adores for reference, but we both agree that the price premium is not really worth it (only .56ctw, G, VS for $3500)

I have 2 bands from SP. They are great quality and a lot less than Tiff's. Levian is not associated with WF. He is a whole other jewelry designer.

this is a band from Signed Pieces. (I know it's nine stones and has sapphires) I just wanted you to see how "low" their rings are set. They can make whatever you like. ______________________________ |

Do you have a Bailey Banks & Biddle near you? My 5 stone band is from them and is very low set. They have a 7 stone band as well: http://www.baileybanksandbiddle.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2090971&cp=2071017.2146499&pg=7&cp=2071017&categoryId=2146499&parentPage=search&searchId=5500402844 However, just a warning that many of these bands have the girdles of the diamonds hanging over the edge of the metal "cup" that holds them. The result is the girdles scratching the e-ring setting. My 5 stone band has scratched my solitaire. You can tell if the stones overhang if you run your fingers along the edges and they feel sharp. I have an eternity band from Signed Pieces that has less overhang. They have a very good 30 day return policy, so you may want to order one and see for yourself if it will work for her.

The setting is very common - IMO, no need to go for a designer name on this. The one from Tiffany has the baskets constructed a bit differently - with an open line much like it is done for larger stones to avoid building up metal bulk. Those can be found easily off the usual semifinished catalogs. For example, this page from Adwar: ![]() I don't know if WF uses this as a source, but it doesn't need to be. They may have one version anyway. Wink lists settings from these Adwar catalogs, and Michael E (I think). Ana "The greatest experts are only as good as the sum total of what they have seen."
