Perhaps someone has asked the question before, but I didn't notice it in my search.

When I run a search using the "Cut Quality Search", I only see stones from Good Old Gold and White Flash. Is there some reason for that? Are there other stores I should consider when looking for an ideal or H&A cut quality stone? If it matters I've been looking at 1.7cts to 2.1cts, F or G, VS1 or VS2.

Please undestand that I'm already working with both vendors to find the ideal stone and have nothing against either one of them. I just want to understand what options are out there.

Thanks for the comments and Happy New Year to everyone!
Jeff

Jeff,

I think I'd at least take a good look at what the "quick search" comes up with, when you constrain for AGS only.  For example, doing a search for your parameters brings up more than 100 lines of described options, including lots of duplication, but ultimately, some options you can compare to.  The first one I looked at (Union frequently includes pictures of the certs) seemed to have the AGS older cert, which could be avoided, but I'm sure there are others there with newer ones you could look through, and see what kind of premium, if any, you'd be paying with GOG or WF, instead of just going with AGS's pretty good imprimatur.

No doubt, any extra elbow grease pays off.  I note that I think James Allen and Nice Ice pay to have their options listed, too, though they'll only show up when they have stock in those categories you're searching for.
