I'm thinking of going down to Carmel for a romantic weekend, anyone have any recommendations for dayspas? I found a website for Le Spa on Delores Street, and A Signature Day Spa, on San Carlos Street, TIA!

We were out visiting Carmel and Pebble Beach last month and I received some great suggestions for our trip from others on this forum. I love spas and while I didn't go to one in Carmel, I can highly recommend the one at The Lodge at Pebble Beach which is nearby.

Bernardus baby!!!![]() We actually stay at Benardus, which is in Carmel Valley (10 min drive from downtown) and they have a spa on premises and an award-winning restaurant as well. We'll go for a night or two and then drive into Carmel for dinner on the 2nd night typically OR if we are only staying for one night we will stop in Carmel on our way back home and have lunch there and do some shopping. It's a great quickie getaway and I really like not being smack dab IN the town of Carmel, I find the 10 minutes to the 'country' feeling more relaxing. They also have a winery and gardens and a huge outdoor fire pit which is great to sit around bundled up at night...croquet and other lawn games I guess. But I'm all about the food and the spa. And the in-room suites all have these amazingly huge soaking tubs, it's so dreamy. Flowers in the room, wine and champagne and treats left for you and the bathtub, ahhhhh. Oh and feather beds to die for. Can you tell I love it??? www.bernardus.com ________________________________ |

We're actually staying at the Highlands Inn Carmel, and FI wanted to go for a massage at a Spa, which the Highlands Inn unfortunately doesn't have, except for room massages. I also want a facial so I think I'm going to visit Bernadus and check it out!
