'Unwanted e-ring' - 'guess the lady said 'No' to either the ring, the guy or both.... It happens. The picture is obviously from the Tiffany website and if they say the ring is 18kt gold, it must be yellow gold. What is the exchange rate anyway? The 12k price sounds surreal... It just so happens there is a close match online (just not in Australia). LINK to .77 cts H-VVS and 1ct F VS2 Tiffany solitaires They could easily scan the paper coming with the ring etc. Tiffany does not use the term 'superideal' but the seller might have just been clumsy about it. The measurements (crown angle mislabeled as % and pavilion depth) are typical for the Tiffany reports. Sure it can also be a hoax... this is all that comes to mind looking at it.
