What is palladium? Is it a form of platinum? For instance a friend wants to sell me her palladium ring and I wanted to know what the value of it would be. It's approx 3mm. Thanks~

Palladium is in the same family as platinum. So it does not turn yellowish like some white golds. It is not as heavy as platinum, but instead more like white gold. And the price (at least around me) is very similar to the price of gold.
