Hi everyone, I was just wondering on average how often everyone gets their platinum rings polished. How often is too often? Thanks!

Good question. I've had my platinum set about 7 months. I have not had them repolished yet, but I've been thinking about it. These rings have to last me the rest of my life ( ), so I would not want to have it done too often. As an addition to Cpster's question, is it true that when you polish platinum, there is no loss of metal? Somewhere I think I learned that in the polishing process of platinum, the metal is just moved around. When one is polishing gold, there is a slightly loss of metal.
