I wanted to ask what people here think of two-tone settings and bands.

I am going to post some two-tone settings and bands, none of which belong to me!

I believe that is Ursula Scholz. I have a plain yellow gold band made by her. The finish is the same matte that one sees on that set and I do like it.

Second that!

One of the designers at Wise Goldsmiths has some distict bicolor designs - the site is down.

Not quite classic and conservative stuff, admittedly.  For that, it may help reminding that Tiffany's solitaire started out as a two-tone ring (gold band & white prongs). That's about as classic as e-rings get.

Greg's is two-tone since we had to tie in his love of YG with a white metal that I like..hee hee. It's titanium with a thin strip of gold. He loves it and also has a stainless watch etc so it works out...the ring ties it all together!!

i am very much a fan of the versatility of two-tone  i looked specifically for a watch that had a nice balance of gold and silver that would compliment both colors equally.
this is my stainless and 18k ebel that i wear often.

The majority of my jewelry is 2-tone.  I would love to have #9, Deb.  I have that Simon G in white gold with a blue sapphire, but the 2-tone is to die for!!!

Unlike the other two tone rings posted above, this set (solitaire and jackets), is mine. When pushed together one sees only white-white metal and white diamonds-from above. This thread reminded me that I tore up my first solitaire and eternity band to make a solitaire that could be worn with or without jackets...and I think my original set was platinum! I know that my first diamond ring after my engagement ring (which had two 1-point diamonds) was platinum!

Now you tell me, Mara...how could I have bought platinum?
