Second that! One of the designers at Wise Goldsmiths has some distict bicolor designs - the site is down. Not quite classic and conservative stuff, admittedly. For that, it may help reminding that Tiffany's solitaire started out as a two-tone ring (gold band & white prongs). That's about as classic as e-rings get. It's titanium with a thin strip of gold. When pushed together one sees only white-white metal and white diamonds-from above. This thread reminded me that I tore up my first solitaire and eternity band to make a solitaire that could be worn with or without jackets...and I think my original set was platinum! I know that my first diamond ring after my engagement ring (which had two 1-point diamonds) was platinum! Now you tell me, Mara...how could I have bought platinum? A Girl's Best Friend
