 Split prong too much for .68ct Stone?

The stone is a .68 5.5 x 5.3 cushion stone. Would a split prong mount be too much?

Yes, there won't be any split really. I have seen the look where the stone in its basket sits in between two diamond bands though. That might work. Not much room for a wedding band though...

Split prong or split shank??????

Here's my Jaffe setting that has both. My stone is a 0.74ct 5.8mm RB. You can also see it in my avatar.

split prongs would be perfect specially the small claw type.
im sure someone can dig up a photo for you.

I think a split prong would help "square" the stone quite nicely.
