I am looking for an oval diamond, around 2 carats, G, VS1, with a length-to-width ratio of approximately 1.35, and I would like to set it with two small ovals of the same specifications but around .25-.5 carats.

I am in NYC, but the sheer number of options here is overwhelming me.  The stores I've looked at have not had anything like this (the closest I have seen is three stone oval rings, where the side ovals are much larger, but I think I prefer to have the side diamonds much smaller so the center stone can stand out).  Can anyone recommend somewhere for me to go?  I don't want to do this over the internet - I want to actually go somewhere and be able to look at the diamonds, but I don't need a "brand name", just a reliable place.

Thanks very much!

Can you take a drive to LI?  If so, you can check out GOG.

Yes, GOG is perhaps first to recommend.

Also, Engagement Rings Direct is well thought of here, and you can use this board to search for some of his options (that he'd quickly call in for you), like this one.
