Are there any x prongs that sit flush with a band? I am keeping my existing wedding band. Also is it true that the 'standard' for a x prong is that it should be the same width as the diamond? I am looking at a RB 2.5ct diamond but I am afraid a thick band may look odd on my size 4.5 finger. How thick/thin of a band would you recomend for a 4.5 finger?

I'm not sure what the "standard" is for the width of an x-prong. I recently purchased a 1.25 ct RB (~7mm diameter) in an x-prong setting (link). My ring is only 3mm at the widest point and it's a size 4. I think it looks just fine. With your stone being a bit larger at 2.5 ct, you might have to go a little bigger but definitely not as wide as the stone.

That ring is beautiful wedding_crasher! I love that setting!! It is so clean and classic! The diamond is so sparkely! That is exactly what I am looking for. Thanks for the clarification. I thought a band that was as wide as the diamond was a bit thick.
