My brother told me last night that he and his wife are going to be adopting a baby from China! So come August, I'll have a new baby niece to smother with kisses.

ohh that's so exciting!! if my FI and I decide that we want kids eventually, I would really love to adopt! Congrats Aunt Amanda  will this be their first? or is this the same pair that has already made you an aunt?

This will be their first child. They got married later in life... he will be 54 and she will be 46 when they get their baby. I have a nephew from my sister, but he's all grown up (20) and I was too young to appreciate him when he was a baby.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is so special to be an auntie....what a lucky baby that is going to be!!! I just spent the last 5 days babysitting for my sister's boys (3 and 1) while they were out of town and while it is exhausting, it is so wonderful. So thrilled for you and for your brother and his wife finally having their family grow!!
