When I first bought this pink sapphire the cut was pretty bad. I sent it to Wink to be recut by Richard Homer. I then had it set with two 25pt. trillions and some small RBs and this is the result. I really like what Mr. Homer did with the sapphire. What do ya'll think.

One more pic. The sapphire was 1.83ct. Now it is 1.48cts. It is 7 by 6 mm

CMW,
I love it.  It's gorgeous.  Do you have any before pics??  It would be fun to see the transformation.

I think the gemologist I took it to may have a picture before it was recut. His computer crashed not long ago so I will check to see if he still has one.

 What do ya'll think.

'Got a new poted note here saying: 'Look for pink ring on finger'   Any chance that might happen?

It is very nice in the current pictures too, of course.

OK OK Here it is. Sharon my wife is not to crazy about the way her hands look. She is a little self-conscious, she thinks they look old despite my best efforts to convince her otherwise.

It's absolutely lovely!  Pink is my favorite color.  I may have to add a pink sapphire to my *wish list*.

ETA:  I am totally clueless, but how much does it cost to have a stone recut?

Great stone and ring design.  I'm adding a Richard Homer cut to my collecting "to do" list as well.  And congratulations on getting a top pink with prices rising so fast now.  I just acquired a set of 7mm round pink sapphires for a future project as I was afraid if I waited I would be priced out of the market.

I can sympathize with your difficulties in getting your wife to pose (mine is equally reluctant), but tell her her hand looks just fine, especially adorned with rings like that.
