What can I use at home to clean my diamond ring? If not, what should I buy? The diamond my fiance bought has a girdle that is very thin to thick. It is set in a four prong white gold setting. What should I be aware of? How can I prevent a lost of the diamond? THanks!

Ammonia, detergent with some hot or boiling water will do just fine. If your really into getting the best possible results, Look into buying an ultrasonic cleaner. They vary in sizes and range in price from $75-300 based on the size you get. As far as reassuring yourself with not losing your diamond: Go to your local jeweler or a reputable jeweler in your area and they will check the prongs for you. If you take yor ring to the jeweler to get it cleaned they will probably provide this service for you. Take it Easy- Josh
