I'm new to this wonderful site and I've so enjoyed looking at and reading about the lovely bling bling you people have!  Since I'm in the company of people with such good taste and expertise, I need your help with something. I went to a local jeweler and found a beautiful pave setting, which I fell in love with. My .93 round center stone would look beautiful surrounded by the smaller diamonds. The design is classsic yet unique and just what I've been looking for. It turns out that it's a Danhov and substantially more expensive than rings of similar designs. The other rings lacked the delicacy and quality finish that I admired in the Danhov.  I had never heard of this designer and while the quality and craftsmanship of this ring stood out above the rest, I was blown away by the price.  Am I paying for the name or does the quality justify the boost in price?  What do you think? Any information on this designer would be helpful.

Acutally those prices are a bit lower than my jeweler quoted.  I was going to have my jeweler call to find out what the price difference would be if we switched to white gold.  I might contact James Allen with the same question and then compare prices.  Thanks a lot!

If you get a quote from James Allen on this ring in white gold let me know please.  I looked at a simular ring by Danhov and I got the price for it, but it's in platinum as well.  I like to know the price for it in white gold and without the center stone.

bhatnaa1,

We do offer the "E1 by Danhov" in 18kt white gold.  The white gold price is $2,100.  The price does not include a center diamond.  However, I see that you already own a .93ct round brilliant.  Danhov does require our company to send them the center diamond that is being used for the ring design.  They do this to ensure the structural integrity and over all quality of the ring.  A customer could purchase this ring separately as long as they sent us their diamond.  We would then give the diamond to Danhov to begin production.  It generally takes about ten business days to complete the ring and ship out to our customer.  For additional details and information please feel free to contact our office directly and we will be happy to assist.

PS.  Rotkapchen,
If you let me know which Danhov design you are considering than I will be happy to give you the white gold price.
