It is not set yet but we laid it in a spare setting for some pictures 2.00 marquise 13.09 x 6.59 x 4.17 D VS2 lenth to width 1.99 to 1.00 depth 63.3% table 55.3% averaged crown height 15.0% averaged pavillion depth 42.8% averaged girdle thin to thick polish VG symmetry VG faint blue flourescence

My symmetry was always a little off (one side flatter than the other) I noticed it. Others do not. I cannot see one thing about your marquise that is not perfection. That stone is simply stunning. I too have an old marquise that I'm thinking of having set east to west with amethyst and emerald stones as a halo (those are mine and my hubby's birthstones). You by any chance have a pic of the setting you are considering? I think the length is perfect for your finger! _________________________________________________________________ It's hard to see the rainbow through the storm but it can't rain forever!

I came across an heirloom piece at my local Bailey Banks and Biddle. The original manufacturer of that setting will be creating mine.

There is a ring of diamonds set around it but it is set below the girdle so you see alot of the stone. Also, my setting curves upward at the tips of the marquise, like a canoe. It will take 3 weeks and we are taking it in to start on it next week. It might as well be an eternity.
