I was doing my usual web surfing tonight when I came across this really cool wedding set on AntiqueEngagementRings.com. The diamond looks like a really nice example of an OEC. Love the delicate setting too. If I had some extra cash lying around, I wouldn't mind owning this set.

Demelza, thanks for sharing that- it really does look like a great color/clarity on an oec, I love the delicate details on the setting, the tiffany make and I'm a sucker for vintage inscribed rings

I'm right with you on wishing I had a little extra cash lying around to pick something like that up!

and you are living proof that the diamond obsession continues even AFTER you've got the "holy grail" of e-rings and matching bands- I LOVE your amazing set!

Wow. That must have been something to receive such a decadent diamond ring during the great depression. What a story behind that one!

I love anything old world so thanks so much for sharing!

I love this set.    I find that I keep coming back to it to take another peek.

I had the same initial about buying when I saw the price.

Glad you guys enjoyed it. I keep looking at it too. There is something so crisp about that OEC. And white -- it's unusual to see a colorless OEC. It's interesting to see how deep the stone is and how tiny, tiny the table is -- I think 48%. It must be a real firecracker.

I would love to see the names stamped inside the wedding band.  I see their wedding date was June 30, 1938.

I just love it! So sweet and romantic looking. Is it really six prongs? I can only see four? I really do like the way the setting looks though, so simple, but really diffrent at the same time. The gallery in particular calls to me.
