Princess cut stone, Should I buy it? Help

eyeball Rough Rock Total Posts: 16 Last Post: 3/30/2006 Member Since: 4/28/2004	I just looked at a princess cut stone in the diamond district in New York. My wife really likes it but I'm not sure the price is that great. Here are the specs Princess cut Gia certified 3.58 carats E color SI 1 table 76% Depth 67% dimensions 9.178.715.89 Price 48000. It looks very nice and because it is slightly shallow it looks very large. Should I go for it or keep looking. We were also looking at radiant cuts but haven't been able to find the right one. The setting was platinum with two emerald side stones with a total weight of 1.42 carats. With the setting the jeweler wanted 53000. I thought the princess looked nice between the two emeralds.
