I like Claude Thibaudeau and Gelin Abaci.  I haven't been able to find any other designers that do contemporary engagement ring settings. Just wanted to look at all my options before deciding.  Can you suggest any others?

There are websites gathering many designer names... try Kanemarie.com and Weddingband.com and Pearlmans (see banner on top of this page, website at pearlsmansjewelers.com)

And, well, there are dozens more mentione don Pricesocpe here and there.

In the style you have in mind, Kretchner, Niessing and Bunz (for tension settings), Whitney Boin and Etienne Perret come to mind.

Hope this helps a bit. I must have mentioned quite a few names in posts but do not have a 'directory' at hand.

I second checking out Pearlmansjewelers.com. They have lots of designer settings, many which valeria mentioned above.

Just wanted to say that I have a Claude Thibaudeau right hand ring in platinum and I love it.  The workmanship is excellent and the lines very sleek and contemporary.

Let me see...

 Abrasha
 Hubert Heldner
 Malcolm Betts
 William Richey
 Kathy (?) Waterman
 Barbara Heinrich
 Christoph Blatter
 Georg Sawyer
 Henrich & Denzel
 Michael Mann
 Scott Keating
 Paul Gross
Julian Tiglat (primitive gold designs... there are other names to add if you like these)

Some I happened to remember, but have not followed consistently:

 Lee Charles Buckingham
 Phil Delano
 Alex Soldier
 Kay Knight
 Mark Schneider

And some shops at random:  Stuart Moore, Jewelsmiths, Sholdt Design, Green Lake Jewelry, Twist (link) ... and you can't go wrong looking up the art galleries online where some of these designers list their fare.

Wow, thanks! I just happened to come across this board late last night when I was doing searches and didn't spend much time looking other then the threads about Claude Thibadeau and Gellin Abaci. I think I am leaning towards a Claude Thibadeau setting but was having a hard time finding any other contemporary designers to compare with.  Customers in my area must be too traditional and I wasn't finding anything else doing searches. I just want to make sure I see all my options before making a big decision!  I appreciate the help!

Glad to help :)

... it felt strange to make up that post without any pictures.

Great thread!  I love some of the more modern designs.  Don't forget to include Catherine Iskiw -- a very nice lady who creates some exquisite pieces.
