Hey, i thought i'd share this little story. my brother is getting married soon to a wonderful woman. my brother is always doing things like woodcarving, filming, pottery, etc. and now he's making their wedding rings. he's spent around $5k on equipment and created a vent hood in the basement of his house so he can melt metals and form rings. i personally loooove my diamond e-ring from my fiance and wouldn't be so excited about a home made ring(one reason i think his fiance is a great gal). but i do think it's really neat what he's doing and it's a great way for a guy to get excited about wedding jewelry. he's planning on improving his skills at making jewelry and when he gets good enough he wants to get a stone and set it himself(practicing on cz first ofcourse). i'm already asking him to make me a bracelet!
