Sorry if this has been answered in another post... Is there a significant difference in a H&A stone versus a Round Ideal Cut in terms of brilliance, intensity, sparkle, etc? If you had two stones of the same clarity/color/carat but one was H&A and one was Ideal cut, would there be a noticeable difference to the naked eye? I have seen some H&A stones in person and they blow away other stones but I the others aren't usually close to quality in terms of cut/clarity/color so it's hard to compare. ------------------------------ Life's a party. Crash it. |

Not all H&A stones are Ideal cut (by AGS standards), and not all Ideal cuts are H&A. A number of the branded "super-ideal" cut stones are both. See the stone - make the call. Some AGS Ideals are "better" (looking) than others. Some H&A's may not be great looking either. The eye is attached to the brain of the beholder...you be the judge. ![]() |
