Would national jewelry chains such as Zales sell laser drilled diamonds? Want to keep the price down and this is just a fun ring. What size diamonds are usually laser drilled is there a minimum size stone? Do these sellers have to disclose that the stone is laser drilled and do they do this? Relative got a ring from Zales and we are now wondering if it has been enhanced and she has not been told aboutt it!

Can't help you there, but you could also consider "pegasus" stones. I believe GE (and Lazare Kaplan - of Tiffanys fame) has a process of heat-treating the stones to improve their color. I wonder if this process would work on moissanite? Anyway, I commend you on making such a knowledgeable, deliberate sacrifice. But make sure you get a good cut! |
