Confused over EGL cert |

Help...have EGLUSA 2.34 round H/VS2...have heard many negatives about EGL...even one member comment that they had never seen an EGL color match GIA!!! So I got two GIA independent evals...both agreed on VS2...one agreed on H, the other ran a colorimeter on the stone and it was dead on G...given the above can I be reasonably certain that this is a G-H/VS2 stone? Thanks for any replies....

Do you know which USA office the EGL is from. I've heard the LA EGL is as strict as GIA. |

I never heard that EGL USA was that bad. It is EGL Belgium and Israel. Yes, you seem to have what the cert says. BTW, when you say you got some GIA evals -- I think you are confusing a GIA trained person with GIA the laboratory. They are not the same thing. The GIA trained person is not employed by GIA and can grade as it suits them. |
