marriahlyn Cut Rock Total Posts: 468 Last Post: 6/29/2008 Member Since: 7/23/2003	Ok ladies, here are some photos of our long awaited little boy. We did 4 IVF cycles to get him and it's hard to believe he came from an embryo that we had cryopreserved (frozen) in the freezer. I was induced 3 weeks early and he was born on July 17 @ 3:26PM weighing 6lb10oz and 19 inches long. We're all doing great. Sorry I haven't kept up. We recently moved to our lake house and have no internet access there. I really miss posting!!

marriahlyn Cut Rock Total Posts: 468 Last Post: 6/29/2008 Member Since: 7/23/2003	Thanks everyone, we are so proud of him and it took us a very long time to get him. I have immune problems and my body would "kill" off the embryos when they tried to implant. I had to do 2 shots of heparin (blood anticoagulant) before and during my entire pregnancy along with all the fertility drugs and steroids. It was well worth it although I was deathly ill the ENTIRE pregnancy......I was taking Zofran which is $15 a pill with insurance....could take up to 4 a day. I was told by my doc that I needed to wait 2 years for my immune system to rest before having another......we'll go to our fertility specialist and see. DH is 36.....2 years is 38, figure a year of fertility treatments (we have 26 embryos in the freezer) then a year of cooking baby and he'll be 40 and thinks that's too late. Maybe it's not in the cards for me to have another and I would do it but can't imagine going thru a pregnancy like that again. Hence the reason I didn't post much, I wasn't able to be up much!! I feel very blessed to have a wonderful daughter and a son, but dh is an only child and was adopted so little Robert is his only blood relative he knows. Kaleigh-I say thank God I didn't have a C-section but thank God for epidurals! I had to be induced early because I was off blood thinners and after going into pre-term labor twice, I was in the hospital 4 days being induced and slept thru the highest dose of pitocin. They finally broke my water, started pitocin, gave the epidural and within an hour I was 8cm.......who knows when I was really complete because they let my contractions start pushing him out.......then after 5 hours of real labor and 6 pushes he was here. After all the trouble I had during the pregnancy, I wasn't even sore in the nether regions after his birth. My only problem was swelled ankles from all the IV fluid I had. Anyway, I will gladly post more pictures when I get on my other computer later in the day. I'm nursing so I'm going to get him weighed this AM. I think he'll grow very quick because I have soooo much milk and he eats til he pukes. I will post later. Jaime
