Hello everyone! First time on this forum, although I've been doing the RockyTalk, DiamondHangout and SMTR for almost a year. Quick question for those more knowledgeable than me - What websites would you recommend? Especially for someone who is trying to pick a ceremony and reception venue (in one) and plan a wedding in Connecticut, while living in Australia, with her fiance in California and her parents in London ...  I am already addicted to theknot.com but are there any other amazing sites? I don't have a lot of time to spend browsing a ton of websites (I work full time while attending law school full time  ) so I'd prefer like a super-comprehensive one. Right now I'm just looking for sites that list reception venues etc so I can view them and contact people about them, like theknot.com does. FD, congratulations on your engagement and your stunning ring! Now comes the hard part and it may be even harder for you with all the distance/location issues. But don't despair, it can be done!! There are tons of websites out there but none that are terribly comprehensive. My suggestions are: www.weddingchannel.com www.weddingsitesandservices.com www.modernbride.com You might want to start with those. There's another one called www.bestweddingsites.com. It lists tons of sites if you want to take the time to go through them. Also, you can just use a search engine and put something in like wedding reception sites in connecticut and see what comes up. Good luck and keep us posted! This is a great place to come for ideas, advice and venting!!!
