:) I'm not lucky enough to live in driving distance to NYC, but yesterday my mom my sister and I took a flight in for the day. We went to see Wicked (AWESOME!)  and did some shopping. I have known I wanted a Facets eternity band since I found pricescope last year, but never could quite decide on what size.. I went back and forth between a really itty bitty one and the one with 5 pointers like so many of you have!

So we wandered in there yesterday and the man there was absolutely wonderful (didn't get his name..I don't think.) but he was great. Didn't try to "sell" me  anything. Just let me try on as many rings as I wanted and then when I picked one, he gave me a price quote.. definitely no pressure to buy.. Of course I told him I found them through Pricescope.. I think I've decided on one with 4 pointers.. I don't know if I tried on the 5 point one, but 6 was way too big, and 4 points were just perfect. Dumbly, I forgot to take pictures, even though my camera was in my bag. But 29 Round Brilliant Diamonds, 1.15ct. tw. F-G color VVS-VS clarity (for size 7.5) was the one I decided on. For my size it would be 25 stones, .99ct tw. I'm so excited! FI just started his "real job" this week, so I'm hoping we get to buy it soon!

Sounds like the eternity band I have!  Mine is a size 6 1/2 so it came out to 1.07cwt with I believe 27 stones (4 points each).  It is very comfortable although sometimes not the most practical for me since I have two toddlers.  Yesterday I got diaper rash creme all over it.

You have a 3 stone ring, right?  I bet it will look awesome with it!

Oh how fun! What was the store like? Did you see any non-ring items that you might want?

matorata - the store is very small, and not actually a store at all.. They have a counter set up in a store with a bunch of different jewelers.. They had some BEAUTIFUL jewelery with diamonds and something pink.. don't know exactly what stone it was but they were all very pretty.
Had my mom almost sold on a signed pieces eternity band too..(she would have gotten the one with 6.5 pointers.. as she doesn't have a solitaire anymore)  until later on we went to Tiffany and she saw a three stone ring that she liked even more. They were beautiful, but I'd shoot her if she bought it from Tiffany.

Jellybean - yeah.. it does sound like i'm getting your ring. I'll have to go back through and look at your pics! I rememeber seeing them when you got it!

It was most likely Isaac that you saw and maybe perhaps David.  Interesting set-up in that large store. One would have a hard time picking them out over the others in there if one wasn't looking for them in particular.  The whole diamond district is an experience as well.

Definitely worth the look.  I was considering a small half assher band until I saw them with the radiants and princess ones.  They all look the same from about three feet away.  You really need some larger stones to have any distinction in shapes.

Oooh! I wish I were closer to NYC! Melissa - how tall were the eternity bands? We're planning a SP eternity band purchase for either 5 or 10 year anni (or perhaps sooner.... ) and I want one that won't overpower my accent stone. It's about 2mm high. Ivy said hers is 1.8mm high, but I just need more confirmation that it would work with my ering. Congrats on the trip, and congrats to Jeff on the new job!
