I love love love a good pecan pie. Would one of you lovely men bake me one? I want the pecans toasty and crunchy, the filling creamy, and not overly sweet, and definitely firmer rather than runny!

I am not much of a pie person.
I prefer creme brulee or strawberry cheesecake from Junior's(in Brooklyn, NY).

Speaking of Banana cream pies, I did once try the banana cream cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory and it was so delicious!

Soft, smooth and creamy cheesecake with fresh sliced bananas and whipped cream!  I have to go back for more before the baby comes!!

HI:

I went to great lengths recently to make Emeril's BCP--and the bloody pastry creme simply wouldn't thicken properly.  Ended up eating very good pudding tho--but a lot of trouble and expense for banana custard........But how I love good BCP!!!!!  And coconut creme too......

cheers--Sharon

I know Jen I was just thinking about banana cream pie an hour ago and had some GRAPES instead...NO FUN!!! But we had blueberry cheesecake last nite with our fish and veggies so we were already bad....

I have to say I adore Mrs. Smith's frozen dutch apple pies, they are the best...I know alot of people are like EW FROZEN but Mrs. Smiths is awesome, love her latticed cherry pie too. With ice cream of course! I always serve them when we have BBQ's or big parties because they serve alot of people, there are no leftovers and they are easy, just pop it into the oven and an hour later, DING!
