i am down to 8 days, and yeah, I guess you could say I was freaking out in a good way.  Or my fiance would say....controlling way.  I want everything to be perfect after 14 months of planning!  Goodluck to everyone else feeling the same way.

I felt very surreal. Like, this wonderful life is happening around me, like an out of body experience almost. Very surreal and FUN! Take lots of pictures!

Now I'm freaking out in a bad way.  I'm so stressed I've gotten an annoying twitch in my eyelid (<---kind of like this guy) that comes & goes throughout the day. I've finally forced my FI to take some time this week to confirm arrangements with me.  I hope that I will calm down once it's all squared away.  When do you start to enjoy yourself?

When do you start to enjoy yourself?

The day after the wedding?

Seriously, I didn't really start to enjoy myself until the reception. It was at that point that I realized that if anything went wrong, it was too late!

The month before the wedding I was swamped with details, and I was not even working at the time. It wasn't until after the wedding and honeymoon when we got home and I started to actually process everything that it all actually set in and all of the stuff that had happened that I realized things I hadn't noticed at the time and all of the stuff that I wasn't 'paying attention' to set in as memories. It was pretty cool! So just take it all in stride and don't get too stressed out!

Lolly use some cold compresses/washcloths on your eyelids, that can help decrease the twitch. Or have a gin and tonic (lol) the quinine in tonic water helps calm the twitch!

I am freaking out too...in my sleep! I swear if I have one more night of dreaming its my wedding day and the flowers aren't ready, my dress is brown and ugly, my nails aren't polished, no one shows up, etc...

My favorite color is sparkle!!!

Talking with your FI should help! Unfortunately you go from nagging about the ering to nagging about the wedding!

About a month ago I was the same way. I couldnt sleep, it seemed like i was in a constant panic attack where i couldnt catch my breath, and i think my eye was twitching too. All of the stress was coming from FI not getting the things he needed to done (pick tuxes, ring, ushers). I eventually started a HUGE fight over it, but thank goodness i did... i would have exploded because i was trying not to nag and keeping it all inside. Once he started and got those couple of things done, i calmed down SO much.

Another thing that helped us was i asked FI what things he really wanted a voice in, like the music, food, etc so if there was something he could care less about (napkins, flowers), i didnt have to stress getting his opinion and just do it! It has really made things easier on me and i let him know that he would solely in charge of his tux, ring, GM gifts etc.

Hope you feel better soon!

LollyBear, I have to say that the little guy with the twiching eyelid had me laughing really hard. My right eyelid has been twitching non-stop since early June due to the stress of finishing my doctorate, making travel arrangements for friends and family to come to my graduation, getting engaged, planning a two-week trip to Europe with a friend, and starting to think about the wedding in May, all this in the last two months. When I'm not freaking out about one thing, I am freaking out about another.

Somehow the little guy made me feel better about my twitching. Thanks for the laugh.

Hope your eye gets better.
